Navigating a new language

The French expression, un jeu de mots, which translates as a pun but means a play on words-perhaps captures better the idea of the playfulness of words. In fact, I love the exercise of finding puns in a language or playing with new words, their sounds and meaning, to develop depth and profoundness (de la profondeur) in the acquisition of a second language. It tickles my fancy. The word of the week is "lassitude" - a loss of enthusiasm, a certain fatigue with a situation-which was used to describe the lowest level of attendance by "les gilets jaunes" or French Yellow Vests throughout France this Saturday (L'Express-5/5/2019). Taking that word and finding rhyming words related to direction, the following is an exercise in playing with sound and word forms. For the fun of it...

"Prends pas l'attitude de ressentir de la lassitude face a la longitude de la vie. Comme la latitude, Projette-toi et prends de l'altitude!" (Ruellan, S. 2019)

In other words, "Don't become weary when confronted with the routine of life. Instead, take action and move forward."

And for the fun of it try saying this 5 times fast-found on a bottle of mouthwash about gargling. "Gaga de gargarismes a gogo!" or "Crazy for gargling a lot!"
